چکیده
Coordination for truck platooning refers to the active formation of a group heavy-duty vehicles traveling at close spacing reduce overall operations costs. Conventionally, this coordination is achieved by optimizing various truck-related parameters, such as schedules, velocities, and routes, based on an objective function that minimizes certain cost, example, fuel usage. However, prevalent algorithms problem are typically integer-constrained, which not only hard solve but readily scalable increasing fleet sizes networks. In paper, overcome these limitations, we propose centralized formulation optimize parameters multidimensional cost including fuel, operation time costs preferential penalty. Furthermore, improve scalability our proposed approach, decentralized algorithm platoon involving multiple fleets objectives. We perform both theoretical numerical studies evaluate performance against solution. Our analysis indicates computation invariant size, small relative gap optimum given method. discuss results present future directions research.
